Just make sure you get a reputable person to do it for you...you should have no problems. Even if you do, it won't be catastrophic, and you could always get a new tire later. For the $10 or so that they'll charge,IMHO, it's well worth a try.

: Unfortunately I looked out my office window this afternoon and noticed that the passenger-side rear tire was about half its normal profile. Drove gingerly to the nearest tire shop and they proceeded to extract a 1.5" finishing nail out of the tire. (Nicking the rim in the process *&^%$^%#)

: Obviously the only other thing I could do is to lay out the cash for a brand new Pilot, but what I'm wondering is,has anyone had a bad experience with a patch? I was told it's guaranteed for the life of the tire, and the tire only has 9K miles on it...
