: cd changer on a 98 bm z3?

It isn't possible. The only kind of aftermarket changer that will work with a Z3 is an RF cd changer, which works by sending the cd signal to the FM section of your head unit. You lose sound quality that way, as FM can't support the same dynamic range of CDs. Your best bet is to pick up a used CD changer from someone here who is upgrading their system or order a new one from Quality Imports. The installation is very easy.
