: Hiya Josh,
: Are you going to campaign the M Coupe in SFR-SCCA autocrosses? If you run it at a slush event, please drop us a line. I know here as a lot of us on the board would love to see how the M-Coupe 1) handles on the Autox course and 2) how it stacks up to other cars in the hands of a national level SCCA AutoX driver. I just don't have the time right now to come out and play at the SFR events, but I'd love to watch for a bit.

Hi Ken,

I will certainly bring it out for the gawkers, and if I can get it past the break-in period before the season ends, then I'll run it on the street tires. I'll be out there at least one day with weekend at the Oakland Coliseum, but I won't be autocrossing it -- I probably won't have more than 200 miles at that point, unfortunately.

My gut feeling is that it will make a great autocrosser in Super Stock, especially with some much larger tires in the rear to try to hold back the wheelspin. The car isn't officially classed yet though, and it's a remote but unlikely possibility that it'll be placed on the SCCA's stock class exclusion list. Super Stock is the likely outcome though.
