that BMW cancelled the M mobility kit, and instead will offer road side assistance for the life of the car. I am not sure how this will help me when I travel the hinterlands in search of high speed runs, but in addition to deer, I had best keep an eye out for errant nails.
: i have called a couple times about the M mobility kit...the last time was about 3 or 4 weeks ago and the guy (Brian) said i would definitely have it by Oct 1, i told him if i didn't get it by Oct 1 i would call him back....well here it is oct 1 and no kit, so i call Brian back...i didn't have his extension number, so i had to go thru somebody else...i leave a message for him to call me back...i wait about an hour and call him back and was told he left for the day (trying to avoid me i guess)...the guy i talked to today said that i will have a second version (with only 1 part- not sure what the first version looked like but he said it had 2 parts) by the end of october....i asked if it would be the same as last month and he guaranteed i would have it by the end of october (btw- since BMW is listening- a guarantee from BMW isn't worth s***- i love the cars but the customer service and information that is passed is awful)...note- the place i service my car at (not the one i bought from) is FANTASTIC, no complaints with them just BMW NA and BMW AG
