I have a 2 1/2 ton floor jack. The kind that you twist the handle to lower the car. I got it at Harbor Freght for $40.00. You can get one at Sears for about the same price.

You should also get a set of good jack stands. The ratcheting 3 ton type are best.

NEVER WORK ON A CAR JUST USING THE JACK!!! I have droped cars off of jack stands and jacks before. IT WILL KILL YOU IF IT CAN!

Look in your owners manual for jack points. Look for something solid like a cross brace. Never lift on...

1) The engine (oil pan...)
2) The drive line
3) Body work
4) The diff.

Buy good tools and you will only need to buy them ONCE! You will notice I bought tools over rated for the lift weight. Always a good idea not to over load your jack/stands and test your lift to see if it is SAFE. Shake the car and make sure you have a good surface to work on.

Happy Shopping,

-Karl
