Since purchasing my new MXX3 Pilots I had some questions regarding the best tire pressure for them. During the trip home from HC98 I checked them and they were at 51 which was the tires maximum. LarryTech recomended dropping them down to 30 something, which I've been happy with.
Well, I visited the Michelin website and sent them a question via their contact information. A day later, a technician from Michelin calls to answer my questions. He said that I should use the Z3 tire pressure recommendations from the owners manual, but I told him that the tires were not the standard. So the tech looked up the pressure for the stock tires (29) and then checked the weight that they should support (11K something) and calculated a new pressure (31) for the Pilots.
He also spent some time discussing tire rotation strategy to compensate for the negative camber that the Z has in the rear. He recommended trying cross rotation so that the tires would wear more evenly.
So - if you have any Michelin questions, the folks are really good about answering them!
P.S. - per other threads, I've had the tires out in the rain today - they handled great!
