I'm sorry but this is the ultimate in PC nonsense.
First rice boys has nothing to do with being asian, I would suggest you look at http://riceboy.simplenet.com/. Last check I couldn't get to this page, I hope some PC looser didn't get this shut down. Anyway, a rice boy is anyone, anglo, hispanic, asian who takes a car (usual japanese but doesn't have to be) and "upgrades" it buy change model badges, adds stickers from after market companies, adds VTEC to a non VTEC or non Honda car, basically anything to make the car look fast when it reality it is usually the low end base model.
As for stereo typing of inanimate objects (rice burners) I am at a loss to say I care. If you want to you can can call my car a brat burner. Actually that sounds kinda interesting, the Big Blue Brat Burner.
: I know this subject came up before on this MB, but with a racial comment made recently, i would like to pusue it again.
: Even though I am not a Japanese, but I am an Asian, and I am deeply disturbued by comments such as "rice boys" and "rice-burning crap". Please stop those racial stereo typings. Compare to others, this MB has one of the most professional contents and participants. It's sad to see someone would actually post racial stereo typing comments on this MB read by not only Americans, but people around the world. All participants should respect each other's race and cultures and understand their divesities.
: If you wish to critize a car maker, please do so directly at the manufacturer, i.e., Honda Crap, Toyota Crap, BMW Crap, Porsche Crap, Chevy Crap, or Ford Crap. Comments such as "rice boys", "German Nazies", "American pigs", "stingy Jewish" will only draw hatrets between people and they have no place on this MB. I respect other people's race and comments, and in return, I wish others to do the same. Hope that's not too much to ask.
: I thank you all for your attention to this matter.
: Richard :-)
