I agree; ASC intervenes way too early on dry pavement to have any fun. When it does intervene, it takes way too long before it'll allow restoration of full power. When I want to be able to drive hard (i.e. most of the time on dry pavement), I switch it off.

On the other hand, if it's raining/snowing/whatever, and I just want to get home after a long day, it's nice to be able to let the electronics keep you out of trouble.

I agree it'd be nice to have a system which would let you drive harder, while keeping the safety net. But we live in the real world, and I think it's fine.
