I am always for being cordial and polite. It makes life a happy and pleasant affair. I'm not going to advocate removing them from the conversation, such people are a part of life, and it is much more beneficial to learn to deal with them, then to try to stop their speach (they'll just yell louder and louder). But we are in agreement on the concept.
If you are at the homecomeing, I think you'll find that I am a happy, pleasant, enthusiastic guy. I love people and can get along with other pleasant people, even if we have different points of view. For example I'm a rather progressive minded person, but I have several good friends who are staunchly conservative. And we engage in friendly if not heated debates all the time. But I absolutely respect people's right to think freely.
Again, I agree, life's more fun when people are nice. I'm all for manners and courtesy.

: I don't think anyone is trying to supress a particular point of view...it's just the manner in which the point of view is being shared.
: GOOD: The 1.9 may be slower than the other Z3's but if you learn how to work the engine, it's an absolute blast to drive.
: BAD: The 1.9 is a joke! It's so slow that it shouldn't be considered a sports car.
: Anthony, it's not that we don't want to hear these points of view...it's just that we don't like how they are being presented. I completely support your right (as does almost EVERYONE else here) to state your opinions, whether or not they are popular. However, we simply ask that ALL posts adhere to a standard of courtesy and proper manners.
: GOOD: Boy, that new Coupe sure has some interesting lines. I don't think I'd buy one but you sure have to give BMW credit for being different.
: BAD: The new BMW Coupe is the ugliest piece of shit that I've ever seen. Only guys with 2" willies would buy one to compensate for their lack of equipment.
: It's all about the delivery and not about the content. I support EVERYONE'S right to post their own opinions here AS LONG AS THEY ARE COURTEOUS AND RESPECTFUL OF OTHERS. This does NOT mean that everyone (or even anyone) has to agree with the CONTENT of the posts, just that the posts themselves should not be inflammatory, inconsiderate or offensive.
