I just got back from a great week in south beach where the New M got looks from everyone everywhere I went. The car is incredible and is the source of conversation with complete strangers everytime I parked it. Met one guy who rents cars in Boston and rents MZ3's for $250.00 per day (ouch), he says Z3's go for $150 and he can't keep them on the lot. In case any of you are visiting Boston and want to spend a hotel fare on your rental car.
The weather was perfect for 7 days and never put the roof up once. Got to get some more sun screen as lips and nose are burned.
On the way back, we pulled into a gas station in West Palm Beach, I was removing the colony of dead bugs on my windshield and suddenly there was this deafening crunch that I knew almost imeediately was not going to make my day. The guy in a van beside me pulled away from his gas stall and cut the front corner off my car. If anyone thinks they have been angry over this stuff on free speach, they should have seen real anger at that gas station. Fortunately my wife was very calm and grabbed the window squeegee from me before I killed the van driver. (just kidding)
Anyway, when I got back, Progressive came out to the house and wrote me up a order for a new bumper cover and light. They were very very good and I highly recomend them. Of course now I will get to test the local dealer's skills at body repair which should be interesting. Of course, when I went there today, they said they could see me in late JUNE. Felt like I was waiting for surgery. To be fair, they did say they may be able to squeeze me in earlier, I HOPE SO. (that is so I don't get flamed by any loyal Reeves customers)
I hate driving a wounded M.
PS; new stereo was great on the highway, thanks DC.
