Can ASC cut in WITHOUT the dash light going on? (archive)

Posted by Greg in Sydney (now in Wellington, NZ) on March 30, 1999 at 03:36:25:

Way down in the posts from the last couple of days is a post from someone who believes the ASC cuts in when cornering hard, reducing his oversteering fun.

I corner hard but I've never seen the ASC come on... which makes me wonder:

Can the ASC reduce throttle without the yellow light on the dash flashing, or does the yellow light always come on when the ASC is taking action?

Thanks,
Greg
