First of all if I were the sysadmin I would not want the hassle. Another response to this thread suggests providing VIN #'s to register etc. If I had to register I would stay, but if I had to give out PRIVATE info such as that, it's goodbye board. I will never understand why people add more gas to the flame fires. If you ignore these guys they will go away because what they are really seeking is attention.
: I never thought it would come to this.
: I think it might be time to SERIOUSLY consider making registering before posting a requirement, but NOT making registering a requirement to read/lurk. I don't like suggesting it due to the increased work it would make Alan have and the chance that that might make people that who might otherwise post not post.
: The funny thing is we have had problems on here before and they have gone away, but it seems like the problems have escalated and multiplied this time. (Before it was just one person, now it is multiple people) Also funny is of the boards on bimmer.org that are frequently hit and posted to the Z3 board has been the most civilized- until now.
: The E36 M3 mailing list is closed list and you can be kicked out at the list mistress's discretion and that list runs very well.
: I dunno what the answer is.
: I doubt I will ever stop reading the board, but I may stop posting when I sell my M. (I know some people will be happy to hear that- Anthony in particular).
