: At 8:30 p.m. last night in Oceanside CA, I was all alone at a stoplight in my 1 mo old ///M Roadster minding my own business when an Aston Martin DB7 pulled up alongside. I guess my little monster's bulging flanks and virgin 17 inch Dunlops were a clue to the DB7 driver that I was worthy of his wrath. I couldn't make out the driver, but I could here the sound of his melodious V-8 rising and falling, an obvious challenge to race. Oh what the H*LL I said to myself; I've been patient with the break-in so far, no cops around, no traffic and the next stop light is at least a half mile away. Lets do it. ASC + T off, Revs up to 3800 RPM its time to open up a can of Woop Arse. Light turns green and within the first 30 yards its nothing but taillights to the Brit. My tach just got goosed and its time for second then third gear. By now I'm feeling good about the 40 large that I just spent on this missile when out of nowhere two sets of headlights are suddenly behind me and closing fast. It couldn't be the DB7 because we're almost neck and neck. It must be two bigger idiots I reason. Do I floor it and hope for the best until the speed limiter cuts in? My common sense prevails and images of jail , exhibition of speed and reckless driving citations dance in my head so I slow up. As I do, the DB7 flies by and taunts me with his goofy horn and right behind him is a Ferrari Maranello and a Diablo SV. No wonder I got waxed! Oh well I'll be ready next time, besides its a work night and I really shouldn't be playing on my son's Playstation! The game is called Need for Speed IV -Hot Pursuit and its the perfect release for us roadster owners who want to have some fun but not at all costs. Check it out its only 40 bucks and it doubled as a B-day present for my er.... 5 year old. BTW the Z in the game is a 2.8 not an ///M.
