The screw in the tread was not long, it didn't go through, and the tire held air. Removal of the screww, of course, was done at a tire center. Interesting thing, though: the manager said they don't plug tires anymore, they patch them. Is this just a matter of charging $18.00 instead of $5.00? Is patching better? I know how a plug works, is the patch similar? Is it put on with the tire still on the rim? Your thoughts and comments are welcomed.
