: Let me begin by saying this is not intended to be bitch letter against the BMWCCA. I am hoping that someone can show me how we as roadster owners benifit from belonging.

I would happily pay the $35 just for the magazine, which I enjoy greatly every month.

Why not try attending some of the local chapter's autocrosses? Some people think they are more fun than driving schools anyway, and they don't require that you have a roll cage--your Z3 should be very welcome.

As for a driving school, we're lucky enough here in Texas that the Houston chapter of the BMW CCA allows Z3s to attend its driving schools. For those of you not as lucky, it is going to cost you money to attend a driving school anyway, so try to find a Porsche club or motorsports club or some other driving school to attend.

The other thing that $35 can buy you besides discounts at the local dealer is discounts on cars. Right now, if you have been a BMW CCA member for 12 months or longer, BMW has an owner loyalty program going where you can get $500 to $1500 off the price of a new BMW.
