It depends a lot on "where" you live. What does the local club offer you? Driving schools aside what other events do they offer? Tours, tech sessions, clinics? How about social events?

Where I live BMW CCA sucks. It is too far away and has a very small membership. BMW ACA is a large (900+ members) group and very active. Lots of fun, well worth the money (but only in my area).

I belong to CCA as well and enjoy the Rondel. I think it is worth it, even without the local events.

You have to make your own choice on what is of value to you.
