freedom of speech is a general concept, not an absolute that applies in every situation. Visiting this Board is no different than being a guest in someone's house. You're not free to say, do, or be whatever you want unless the house owner agrees with you. If the owner says you can't it doesn't mean your freedom of speech and thought is being denied. You just have to go do it somewhere else, someplace where it is accepted, but you are free to go there and speak your mind.
I sympathize with Alan's desire to placate everyone, but I hope he will remain diligent to remove post's that are intentionally demeaning, mean attempts to hurt others feelings. They serve no constructive purpose, but in the end it is Alan's *house* and he has the right to say what is accepted and what is not.
