: Driving home from work on a road with two north bound lanes. A truck in the left lane suddenly decided to make a right turn into a driveway. The problem, I was in the right lane! I must say that my Z-3 braked like a real pro, and yes I missed the truck. However, at the moment that I was thinking "that was sure close" I heard a terrible screeeeeech from behind. The driver behind me (driving a pickup truck) was not paying attention and crashed into my rear, yes hard.
: The pickup's front grill, bumper, hood, both front side panels, radiator, and fan was history. I paused for a length of time, just sitting there in my car. The drivers of both trucks, worried that I was injured, came to my window to ask if I was OK. My hesitation was not because I thought I was hurt, but, I did not want to see what was done to my baby.
: To my, the truck driver, the policeman, and the general public's surprise, only a few scratches on the bumber and a small dent in the trunk lid was the total result. The policeman just stood there, first looking at the totaled truck, then gazing in amazement at by barely injured baby. I do not know how BMW makes or designs bumpers or frames of the car, but, I am truly impressed.
