I have found the following through playing with the Z3 computer and would appreciate any further information on these matters.

Since my MPG is consistenly about 1.2 mpg lower than the computer reads, I started playing around with it to find a correction...and this is what I found.

First: Press both buttons and hold. After a few seconds the number 01 appears.

Second: You may click the stalk button for the computer to cycle through numbers 01-04. You modify each setting using the "clock" button.

Third: 01, controls 12H or 24H clock display. 02, seems to just display a completely lit led display. 03, seems to control a correction for the mpg . 04, unknown, just says LSP and beeps back to clock.

OK...correcting mpg....go to 03, and use the "clock" key. Short pushes move the number up one and holding it in moves it up by 10's. The number range seems to be 750-1250, and can only be adjusted in one direction . Mine started at 1030 <1.2 mpg too high>, I changed to 1100 <.9 mpg too low>, and am now trying 1080. After you have changed the number, you have to exit correctly , so just do it again and see what number is stored to see if you have changed it.

Disclaimer...I don't know what else this effects.....and no one at the dealership seems to admit knowing anything about this.......
