: RichC is right, you're doomed. Nice fate to have, tho.
: The extra attention you'll get becomes very addictive ;-).
: It's unbelievable how much attention, comments & questions our '98 1.9 (drei schwarz) gets when it's clean. Regardless of the others' demographics (from an owner of an 007 '96 1.9 too!; and, how hard some Miata try to ignore you :o)). Even here in SF Bay Area, CA. Just yesterday, My wife & I watched as a mother-daughter team get out of mom's brand new M-B "C" class, and walk across the parking lot so the daughter could admire our Z3. Amazing!
: However, no reactions whatsoever when it's dirty. None, as in dick!
: He listed the products he uses...I'm not sure if the article he linked mentioned this, but I'd to ad:
: 1. Before you think about glazes & waxes, get a very good wash! I'm very pleased with Zymol's Auto Wash -all natural(!) and gentle. I heard very good things about Sonax's too.
: 2. I use Meguiar's #7 Show Car Glaze.
: 3. CCS (follow link) steered me away from Zymol, and recommended One Grand Blitz Wax. Longer-lasting, and much, MUCH less expensive than Zymol.
: 4. Tip, my personal touch is to make sure the INSIDES of wheels are just as spotless as the outsides. Huge visual impact!
: 5. No worries...keeping it clean becomes less and less of a PITA over time.
: Car Care Specialties (www.carcareonline.com) has just about every car care need you could imagine. Their tips are very helpful too. The owner, Larry Reynolds, purported to be some sort of detailing guru/advisor to BMWCCA.
: Note: CCS's prices are about $1 more than the cheapest you can find...but, I doubt you can find a more comprehensive product line-up. I'm sure you'll be able to find what works for you.
: i>: just bought a 99z3,black. never had a black car before, anyone care to tell me how to keep it looking spotless? we looked on the faq board, but nothing directly addressed this concern.PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!
