I am sure by now you have checked the porsche board.
A lot of the same nonsense has been going on over there too.
Most everyone does admire both cars (I think)
As I do, it came down to my personal prefs. not that I felt one was absolutely better than the other.
There always will be some that despise the other marque for no other reason than loyalty.
While I dont really like or dislike the Boxter, I have met more than one P car owner that dismisses my M Roadster as "oh, one a them Z cars , eh?
as if the Porsche is in a world of its own.
I have often felt that if Porsche had built the Pinto to begin with, the loyal followers would laud its state of the art 4 banger engine without even considering alternatives.
Don't get me wrong, Porsche builds an outstanding car. I just liked the styling of the BMW better.
Now had they maintained the prototype design....
