Hmmm..... unfortunately I have a black interior.
Pulling the subwoofer was easy. There were only 4 bolts holding it in place to a couple of
brackets attached to the roll hoops (the brackets also come off), a connector to the speaker wires, and a tube thing that ports the sound to the grill.
I hadn't thought about different interior colors. I wanted to get rid of the grill which would be unneeded without the HK sub and get a cover that would open up easily.
The reason I've taken out the stock sub is that I'm revamping the entire system, Kenwood CD receiver (I love the motorized faceplate) and changer (mounted where the HK sub was to save space--fits perfectly), MB Quart up front, chrome plated PPI amp (just a little bit of flash to match the gauges), and a custom subwoofer that will take up 40% of the trunk :(
I have a similar system in my 325i and have gotten very used to it, so the HK stereo leaves me begging for more.
Too bad that our interiors didn't match, if you are still interested though, email me. I'll sell it to you for cheap, I'll even throw in the HK amp which comes out this weekend. Otherwise, the stuff will just sit....
