Yes, it is just a muffler but it sounds great and does decrease back pressure. I asked Steve about the so-called exhaust kink that others have complained about and he said that it's not relevant. The kink does nothing to the back pressure - the muffler is the limiting factor. Besides the Remus and Supersprint (and others) are only cat back so they do NOT optimize the entire exhaust system as you claim.

Anyway, they are a small outfit and they hand build the mufflers themselves, on the premises, so they don't really have the capabilities to build complete exhaust systems for every model. The internal baffling, however, is customized for each application.

: IMHO, Dinan really missed on their muffler. Yes, I say muffler, since as a cut & weld it doesn't optimize the the whole exhaust like a Remus or Supersprint.

: I don't know why they went this route, unless they didn't want to deal with the changing exhaust schema between models and years of the cars.
