of course an SS or a Remus doesn't optimize anything from the cat upwards, but if you look at the pipe on a 2.8, you have about 3-4 diameter changes and that pointless resonator. A SS still has a little kink to clear the frame, but it still adds a lot more open flow from a uniform pipe than the Dinan muffler.
Bang for the buck, I'll go with the Supersprint, since I've seen dynos (first person) of 5 hp and 7 ftlbs of torque gain (SAE corrected, of course) for a 2.8.
Everything else on my car short of a supercharger (maybe later) is Dinan, so I'm certainly not a Dinan-basher. I used to call Dinan every month, then every week in January to hound them on their delivery date (Gregg Haver is my bud!).
I just think their reach exceeded their grasp on this one.
