Chrome Door Surrounds - help!.... (archive)

I saw Alan's post on the M3 net about the door surrounds so I got some. I have tried like he__ to get the plug out of the door. I tried prying. I tried prying wth 2 screwdrivers. I tried grabbing it with pliers and pulling as hard as I could. No budgie.

Apparently these are glued in someway. What is my option - drill them out and then replace with new?

Help please!
