: I saw Alan's post on the M3 net about the door surrounds so I got some. I have tried like he__ to get the plug out of the door. I tried prying. I tried prying wth 2 screwdrivers. I tried grabbing it with pliers and pulling as hard as I could. No budgie.

: Apparently these are glued in someway. What is my option - drill them out and then replace with new?

Are you sure you're trying to remove the right plug? I'm not being facetious--you said you grabbed it with pliers and pulled, and I don't see how that is possible with the plug you need to remove--it is almost flush with the door. If you have it out far enough to grab it with pliers you should be able to pull it out easily.

My '98 M roadster did not have it glued in place, and neither did my old '96 1.9. You should notice that it is a plug within a plug--there is the little inner plug that goes in the slightly larger outer plug. It doesn't matter if you pop out the inner one or pop them both out by popping out the outer one. I say go for the outer one at this point--work a thin screwdriver between the black plastic of the plug and the door metal--try not to scratch the paint. Get the screwdriver in behind the plug and then leverage it out. Don't worry about tearing it up--it's got to be cheap to replace the plug at the dealership.
