My '98 M Roadster has a slightly more abrupt engagement, with just a hint of clutch chatter at times. This is always the first time it is driven on a damp morning, and is probably caused by the clutch disk material absorbing moisture. After a couple of starts it goes away. My M doesn't get driven a lot and this may contribute to it as well (it has only 7,000 miles after 1 year).

My '92 Toyota 4-runner did this also, and had slightly grabby brakes the first time on damp mornings.

If it doesn't get worse I probably won't complain to the dealer.
