Ok, this is whats been going on, I have spent thousands on my car stereo system and I am about to go two steps further.

First the easy part...I am adding the New Clarion fold out monitor with the touchscreen and a portable DVD.

The second and more complex issue is the SUBWOOFER. Recently, I have had a box built custom for the trunk with a ten inch precision power subwoofer, I have cut to 3 1/2 inch hole in THE SHEET METAL. The car sounds really good with the top up, but once the sun comes out and the top goes down so does the quality of the sound.

So here is my solution and I know many BMW owners will hate to hear this, but I intend to cut 2 8INCH holes in the sheet metal of the trunk into the rear deck of the car.

I remember talking to someone via e-mail about this, and he explained that he actually put a single 10inch woofer facing into the rear deck. I intend to use 2 8INCH Kicker subs.

What I really want is some feedback in reference to cutitng these 8 inch holes in the sheet metal. I know you intial thoughts, but I would still like to hear them!
