Skyline (CA 35) is closed between Black Road and Bear Creek Road. Bear Creek is open. 9 is clear all the way to Santa Cruz. We've run that twice in the past two weeks. Wonderful run with redwoods overhead, in and out of sun. Pretty rough road though. CD (indash) kept skipping and lots of traction control one day when it was fairly wet.

Drove over Mount Hamilton last Sunday: SJ to Livermore, lots of sun. Took an hour-long walk at Grant Ranch park. This is mostly second gear stuff, no speed but lots of corners, with lots of sun and scenery is great - forded two streams on the road into Livermore! Ran highway 84 from Livermore to 680 with a burgundy Boxster (top up - no taste). I quit in traffic at 90, she would have gone MUCH more (passed me with +20 speed differential).

This weekend is the river road up through the Delta to Sacramento. There'll be lots of traffic, but we'll just put a CD in, get some sun, and make people jealous!
