Installing an additional amp wiring questions (archive)

First off, I have an early '96 production Z3, battery in the front. Reading DC's post earlier about using a second amp to push new speakers in the kicks, I've put MBQ-130's in the kicks and with the HK amp swap it sound's better, but now that it's top down weather, I'm finding it's not good enuf. So I've got a couple of wiring questions.

1) Can I splice into the power-in line on the HK amp to power a second amp (e.g. Sony XM502) so that I don't have to fish a power lead the whole way up to the engine compartment? (J1-1) (the J1-1 is from the Z3 faq for the HK amp wiring pinouts)

2) Can I splice into the power-on lead to the HK amp adn control/feed both amps?(J1-2)

3) Do I just splice into the right and left inputs from the HK amp (J2-14,15,16,17) for speaker level input to the new amp?

4) Then cut and splice the right and left low outputs from the HK (J1-7,8,9,10) and power the kick's from the new amp?

Thanx for any help,

MikeB
