Just thought I'd share my experience with a 1/99 MZ3. THe vehicle has been plagued with poor quality issues Body panel fit, a rear differential leak, and most significantly a shock separating from the right rear control arm while driving. All these issues pertain to the right rear of the car. I've reported the suspension to customer service whose response has been zero. The vehicle has been in the shop for 16 calendar days, apparently awaiting a control arm from Germany, since they can't ship one from South Carolina. I've lost faith in the vehicle, the company, and its customer service. They, the manufacturer have provided nothing in the way of an apology, concern from safety with their suspension defect, or the repair delay. Not an even a rental car has been provided. This is my 2nd, and last BMW (other is a 95 325is - had its share of issues). Hopefully others have had better experiences. Since the manufacturer (who is at fault) can't be contacted other than by mail or a cust. service rep that is incapable of resolving anything I am left only with legal recourse. I'd like my money back, and maybe I'll spend it on a car that his known to be somewhat unreliable, and have poor manufacturer support. If anyone wants the in depth details just post or email

Yes I am aware that they are allowed 4 attempts to fix a single problem, and 30 calendar days, but in my state only 14 calendar days are allowed for major safety issues - the suspension falling apart while driving is a major issue in my mind.
