I would follow up on your states lemon law procedure. Part of the requirement is usually that the dealer/manufacturer be notified. You may want to advise them in writing w/ ret receipt. Also call the district service rep and the BMWNA Customer Service number and advise them that you intend on filing under your lemon law. Keep records of when and whom you speak to.
If you are working with the dealer who sold you the car, go to the GM or owner by phone, personal visit, then registered mail if they can't provide you with a "loaner", reimbursement or other assistance.
Contact one of your local TV stations consumer reporters and solicit their interest. Contact your state or county attorney's consumer protection/fraud division.
