Agree about the $1000! I was able to get $1200 over invoice for my '99 2.3 and negotiated the whole thing in 10 minutes over the phone with a dealership in Denver. Being firm and articulating your bottom line while being fair are important.
: : I have a '96 Z3 1.9 that I adore, but I'm finding my eyes wandering toward the new restyled 2000 Z3. When I bought my Z3 dealers were not selling them for less than full sticker. With the Boxter, TT, SLK, and others coming out I would think that dealers would give some discounting now. Does anyone have the story on what dealers attitudes are?
: $1000, 4th have pre approved credit, Last be direct with dealer ie that's your bottom line. It's worked for me every time and fair to both sides. Exceptions do apply, like when a new model comes out that every one wants or you are after a real high line car (M).
