I went to the dealer accessories (a cheasy guy who knows nothing, cause there are no more than around 50 z3 in my whole country), he sent me to a specialist that fixes convertibles.
So the specialist looked at it and said it's burnt, thus it is a cigarette burn,
it's true the tissu is dried out on an ellipse of around 2 centimeters square around the tear. He claims it can't be stiched and can't be sticked together due to the deteriorated tissu. the solution? he'll replace the top square tissu by a custom one he does for $400!!!!! I'LL BE DAMNED!!!!
any toughts on what to do to fix a cigarette burn??
how can a cigarette burn be lethal for a BMW top? I would pay the money and replace the top, but I'm not gonna allow any specialist make the replacement part with his hands!!! can we buy these things original???
thanx for all
your experience is much appreciated
