Hello follow Z3 folk...
I traded in my 328i on Friday to get a 1999 silver M roadster at Fields BMW in Orlando. I have to tell you...after dealing with BMW dealerships (salespersons) in Jacksonville, Atlanta, S.Carolina, and Miami the dealer in Orlando was awesome.
[gripe]
The dealer in Jacksonville mislead (lied to) me twice and expected me to give them $,$$$'s before I could even drive an M roadster. Can you believe that? Avoid any "Tom Bush" BMW/Mazda/VW dealership like the plague. I have been to 7 BMW dealerships in the US and I have never been so turned off and disappointed with a BMW dealership. Wow.
[praise]
The Orlando dealer, Fields BMW, answered every question, went over every detail, explained everything financially and feature wise & were willing to deal a LOT on the car. The car was sitting in the show room from the time it came off the truck until I picked it up on Friday. It was so baby'd. The car was polished and detailed by 4 young guys (little did they know I was watching them from a far and I could tell they having a good time getting that car ready -- the music was turned up and they removed the other "prep" cars from the garage to "prep" my car first. How cool is that?).
My silver M roadster is a dream. I met a friend of mine in Miami this weekend and drove it around S. Beach and Coral Gables. Sunny Florida days and an MZ3 is just about as good as it gets. I drove back north along the A1A (for those of you outside of Florida, it's the Atlantic side highway closest to the ocean) and had a wonderful time running in the engine.
