It was fun to see some of the faces behind the postings. Of course, checking out the cars was great, too!
Thanks, Larry, for the motivation. Thank you, Robert for the great pics. It was a nice way to spend a Sunday morning.
As you all know, I picked up a nail in my left rear tire some time on the drive. I went to NTB in Irving and had it fixed quickly. At first the 19 year-old guy working the front counter said it couldn't be fixed (those damned kids with their yeah-yeah music...):) But, I had a technician look at it and he said it was no problem. 30 minutes later I paid the $15 and was on my way. They even used a machine with a plastic cover to remove the tire from the rim, so it diodn't scratch my wheel up. This shop, on 183 at Story Blvd. even has signs up that encourage customers to go into the service area to watch their cars being serviced. I liked that. I watched the guy do all the stuff to fix my tire.
By the way, he told me the tires on my car cost $210 each. I know that's nothing compared to the ///M tires, but it still seems really high. Plus, I know, having used Michelins before, that they will wear really quickly. Oh well...
It was a fun day,
PS- I like not having a last name in the photo -- it makes me like Prince or Cher. Adds mystery, no?
It's Baker for future reference, but I don't like the Baker part. People remember "Dallas" a lot easier anyway.
