Try using the "Detailors Choice 100% Cotton Flannel Polishing Cloths" (get about 9 of em) and "Detailors Choice Detailing Towel" that www.carcareonline.com sells. These are very soft materials that will not cause scratches. Most 'spider-webbing' comes from polyester fibers in terry cloth towels (even ones that are labeled 100% cotton). Switch cloths/towels often as well. Reapply 3M hand glaze to areas that have more scratches.
Some other tips:
1) when washing polishing cloths/towels use only a couple tablespoons of detergent and then wash again without detergent to rinse them really well. sometimes I put them through a 3rd wash without soap. look at the rinse water and you'll see. Most detergents are very concentrated.
: I used the 3M Imperial Hand Glaze and waxed with One Grand Blitz.
: It looks much better than the McGuiers' show car glaze and yellow wax.
: Should the 3M Imperial Hand Glaze have helped to remove the spider web like scracthes (have to look right at surface from various angles to see them?) It seems I have as many as before.
: Should I use a more abbrasive polish (fine cut cleaner etc.?)
: The fine scratches are very hard to see - must stick face right up to paint and looking around and catch the light just right. But if a glaze is supposed to smooth paint it seems it would smooth them away.......
