I took the chrome ring off the blank and put it on the VDO gauge. The chrome ring has a lip at the back to hold it onto the blank. I had to remove this lip with a dremel tool (same with black ring on gauge) and glue the chrome ring on. Since you have cracked the "seal" on the gauge condensation can be a problem.


: Can't you take the chrome ring off your volt meter that should have been shipped free of charge.
