Have you ever heard of McMaster? they are a supplier of just about everything. I found them at http://www.mcmaster.com

To find them, do a search for "threaded rod".
Then under the matches click on "coil threaded rods, nuts and anchors", Then click on "coupling nuts"
Now am I to assume that an 8mm coupler is the same as a 8M? That's how they have them listed. They have one listed as 8M/1.25, 19mm long. Now 19mm wide is almost exctly 3/4". That's what the author finaly used in the archive message.

I haven't order them yet, but I'm pretty sure these are the guys ;-)
