Inside snaps are DEFINITELY temperamental, and I have not used them since week 2 of owning my car.
Outside snaps only.
Never any problem with cover lifting, at any speed. Does NOT seem right that it should.
Have regularly touched that 90-100 range for some distance, with no cover problem.
However, most of the miles have been with the lexan wind deflector in place...could be a reason.
Don't know about BMW windscreen...but if people are running above 80 mph without any wind deflector, you have my sympathy twice...once for your boot cover problem, and another for your wind turbulence problem...both easily remedied with deflector.
