: There was a letter to the editor in this month's Roundel from a guy who actually had a lab test the makeup of the leather in his BMW. He found that the seats were made from ground up rat hides!
: The Roundel responded that indeed many cars use NAPPA leather, which sounds great but stands for Nocturnal Animals Processed in Particles for Automobiles! Can this be true? Not only is it insulting to pay 40K+ for a car and not even get two square yards of cow hide but it is also unbelievable they have us sitting on rat pelts. Watch those profit margins grow!
