I saw a picture in a German brochure of a somewhat similar bright green -- which I would LOVE. ("Fiji," maybe?) In Europe, they seem to be much more organized about offering an "Individual" program, allowing the buyer to order a much wider variety of colors & trim.

I agree, the new beetle's green is cool. I ended up with a black Z3. It's gorgeous, but I certainly would've considered something more interesting had it been available. Overall, the standard Z3 colors seemed awfully conservatively BORING.

If you know people, etc., it seems you can get some interesting one-off colors on Z3s, but it shouldn't have to be such a hassle. Seems like Wayne & Amy have a screaming raspberry pink car, and there are some other interesting ones out there.

I'd be careful about aftermarket repaints -- unless you disassemble the whole car & spend a fortune, it's never going to be nearly as perfect as the original factory paint. If you do decide to repaint, it seems like some of the fanatical hot rod-type shops might do the best job.

But it would be nicer if you could order interesting colors on a new one.
