: Here's my situation. My first BMW, a 00 2.3. At 3k miles the DSC stops working and I hear a click in the rear end. The dealer has had it since 5/29. So far they have told me that the clicking is "one of the rear axles is cracked"

You didn't indicate whether they fixed the cracked axle. I'm wondering if there are sensors in the axle area that were damaged because of the cracking.

It's been at least 12 days since it happened, and have they fixed any of it? Did you specifically notice when it happened? 3K miles and something that severe happens, they ought to do something!
