I have also had trouble with my boot cover. Most of the time it takes me and my husband to put it on. I hold the windscreen up out of the way and he snaps on the boot. I have a '99 2.3 and at one point one of the snaps would not work at all. I took it back to the dealer, they had a kit to replace all the pins, and it works much better now. Only took about 15 minutes to replace.
: I downloaded an article by Michael W in January ohis "VERY easy to do" method. However, I've had no luck. Maybe he didn't have the stiff cover that comes on my '99. I extended the fasteners with washers last night per Robert's article. Still no luck in getting the center fasteners to work.

: Any secret to fastening this gem? Or would this be a subject for a clinic at Homecoming??
