Ours went on so tight I didn't see the need for the screws. Personal choice.
: Follow Teachums instruction, but make sure you have the aquare nuts in place before you get the tips too far on. You may want to install the nuts and screws in the tips before you start. Just turn the srcews in to where they are flush with the nuts. Be sure to check them to make sure the screws don't back out as you hammer on the tips. If the srcews come out the nuts may not stay down the the recess on the tips.

: : : Couldn't find anything in the archives but I seem to remember reading that there was some trick to it. I will be installing two of them on a 2.8.

: :
: : 1. Align your chrome tips onto the tail pipe with the oval shape running horizontal.

: : 2. Press them on by hand if you can to get them started. Otherwise follow step three to get them started.

: : 3. Place block of wood (2X4) over the face of them and use a rubber mallet to tap them the rest of the way on. This will require some force. Any type of hammer will do just be sure and use the block of wood.
