if you want the chrome tips to be level with each other or staggered. I preferred having mine level with the tips even on the end.

If you want them even with each other, drive on the passenger side first, then slowly the drivers side to match it.

I also found out that the bolts were not necessary as the fit is plenty snug. I drove it like that for over a year without any movement until getting my Supersprint. Good Luck!
