I look young for my age, so I can understand his skeptisism, but the salesman at BMW of SD asked me how much I made during the test drive. To his credit, he did give us the test drive without reservation, but when we were finished, he wasn't prepared to talk any numbers. He just said to get back to him when we were ready. His loss. I had a hard time not laughing when he couldn't get the top to lower fully. I finally told him it was a power top, and he needed to be shown where the switch was. Most of the salesman that I met, weren't very well versed on the Z3.

Another salesman in Escondido laughed at my offer. (I guess he's become accustomed to people with more money than brains, handing over their checkbooks.) He didn't have any brochures, didn't have a Y2K car on the lot and didn't know what changes were coming with the new car anyway. I don't have to tell you that he didn't get my sale.

My salesman at Cunningham (2.3 on order) is very knowledgable about the BMW line, and was eager to answer all of my questions and bestow upon me endless facts about the car. He also came through and matched my lowest deal, so naturally I felt good about giving him my business. Way to go Mike!
