: I just had a hardtop installed on my 99 Z3. When I ordered it, I just assumed that it came with something to store it in. But I guess I was a little naive.

: I have seen on this msg board postings about a bag that lets you hang the top from a ceiling or wall. I asked my dealer about it, and he said that only comes with the floor storage rack. The price - over $350!

: So, my question is: Is there another source to purchase something like this? Anybody come up with their own solution?
: (I don't have room in the garage to use the conventional hoist system)

: Thanks,

Tom:

I had a Miata before buying my Z3. I also had a hard top, which I stored in a cart that holds in a vertical position. There are a couple of carts you can buy from Miata aftermarket vendors that should work, price range $ 90-180 max. If not you can return the cart. Go to www.miata.net, click on marketplace, and shop around the several on-line catalogs of several vendors. Moss, Performance Buyer Club, MM marketing, or Brainstorm should be able to help you.

Good luck, but if it works e-mail me back and let me know the catalog number so that I can buy one if I ever decide to get a hardtop for my Z3!
