John Guinn emailed me about his best friend's (Mike) unfortunate accident in his two month old 2.3 Z3 in Texas earlier this summer. Mike, who was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident and is one who usually does, was t-boned from the left side by a bus, because he missed an obscured stop sign due to construction. Mike was seriously injured (head trauma) and in critical condition until recently. His passenger, who was wearing a seat belt, walked away with minor scratches. I don't know how fast Mike was going, but John said to pass the message to the MB to *always* wear your seat belt.
