What's the white plastic bag for? (archive)

Neither I nor the salesman at my BMW dealer knew exactly what the window blanket looked like when I took delivery of my car so when a clear plastic bag with something white inside was found in the trunk of my new Z3, we both thought this was the window blanket. When I opened the clear plastic bag at home, I discovered nothing more inside than a folded white plastic bag, about the size of the rear window. Since, the dealership apologized for the confusion and has provided me with the correct soft window blanket complete with the attaching hooks, BMW logo, nice little case and everything. However, I'm left wondering what that bagged white bag in the trunk was for. The dealer doesn't seem to have a clue. Do any of you folks know?
